Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting will be held and Officers for the year 2009/10 will be elected.
There will also be a literary quiz with Jean Barraclough.

9 October 2009

Poetry Evening.
Sheila Lewis will present 'I Like Writing Poetry'.

13 November 2009

A Monologue Evening.
The Vic Rees Monologue Competition will be held. Entries will be performed at the meeting. They will be judged on the evening by Brenda Munitich and the cash prize will be awarded.

11 December 2009

The Christmas Meeting.
The winning entries in the 2008/09 Saviker Shield Competition will be read:
1) Overall winner; 2) Poetry winner; 3) Short story winner; 4) Letter winner.
Mike Hayes will present the shield and those gained for other competitions up to September 2009.
The Railton Competition for 2009/2010 will be set by Mike Hayes. Entries are to be handed in at the February Meeting.
This is to be followed by our Christmas Celebrations.

8 January 2010

The Other Saviker Entries.
The ‘other’ entries, in the Saviker Shield Competition for 2008/2009, (one per participating member; own choice of category), will be read.
Chris Williams will present 'Word Games'.

12 February 2010

Writing Your Memoirs.
Joyce James will organise the evening, and set the Endeavour Competition based on the theme of the evening.
Entries for the Railton Competition, set by Mike Hayes, are to be handed in.

12 March 2010

A Manuscript Evening.
Bring along a ‘Work-in-Progress’, prose or poem, for discussion in groups.
The results of the Railton Competition, set by Mike Hayes will be announced and first and second prizes awarded. [See August Meeting.]
Entries for the Endeavour Competition set last month by Joyce James are to be handed in.

A Prose Evening.
Dominique Spearey will organise this evening.
The results of the Endeavour Competition set by Joyce James in February are to be announced and first and second prizes awarded. [See August Meeting]

14 May 2010

Beyond The Rhyméd Couplet.
Ray Humphreys will organise this evening and set the Keith Coles Competition.

13 June 2010

External Speaker.
The speaker and his/her subject are to be announced later.
Entries for the Keith Coles Competition set by Ray Humphreys are to be handed in.

9 July 2010

A Book That Changed My Life.
Di Lewis will organise this evening.
The results of the Keith Coles Competition are to be announced and first and second prizes awarded.
Entries for the Saviker Shield Competition (BWC’s Premier Competition) 2009/2010 are to be handed in

13 August 2010

Results Evening.
Bring along any winning entries (1st & 2nd) you have gained throughout the year for reading out to the Group.
This will be followed by an End of Year Celebration.
